The Need For Ant Control
Pharaoh ants, black ants, garden ants, house ants, and red ants live in colonies with nests in concealed places, often close to a water and food source. They prefer to feed from foods with high protein content, particularly blood, and can actively feed from wounds and soiled dressings.
Unlike some other ant species, the queen may be replaced by other queens resulting in colonies which are able to split. They commonly use electrical and telephone wires as a highway system to travel through walls and between floors.
The ants are common problems in commercial food handling places such as hotels, grocery stores, hospitals and in apartment complexes.
Pathogens may be picked up as the ants forage – their very small size and their strong jaws mean that they can get inside many products. Thus they can either damage the goods or become a foreign body contaminant. In areas such as hospitals, they can move from dirty, unsavoury areas to clean (possibly even sterile) areas very easily.
They are particularly attracted to sweet things such as jam and sugar, but any food scraps lying around will do. As soon as one ant finds a food source, it communicates its discovery to other ants nearby.

Black Garden Ants
Black garden ants have a single queen and hundreds of thousands of workers. These ants are normally found in gardens; in the ground and under rocks or flagstones and can often penetrate under the building. They frequently build nests in the foundation layer and from there penetrate into the house itself through cracks and crevasses.
The pharaoh ant is a major pest in hospitals and office blocks; it can make nests between sheets of paper.
Some ant species are considered pests, and because of the adaptive nature of ant colonies, eliminating the entire ant colony is nearly impossible. Pest management is therefore a matter of controlling local ant populations, instead of eliminating an entire ant colony, and most attempts at ant control are temporary solutions.
Ant colony populations are controlled using insecticide baits, either in granule or liquid formulations. Bait is gathered by the ants as food and brought back to the ants nest where the poison is inadvertently spread to other colony members. Bait may be broadcast over a large area to control species like the red fire ant that occupy large areas.
Ant infestations are not easy to control and different strategies should be used depending on ant nest location and the ant food preference points.

A week later, I thought I could still see a few wasps around the garden near the roof. No one else in my household could spot them, but because I was so concerned, Gerry kindly came back the same day to repeat spraying.
Fantastic service-thank you for your help!

Such great service and would 100% recommend.

Highly recommend!

Gerry is very knowledgeable and helpful and also did not charge for the advice.
One happy customer and one swarm of bee's safely saved. Thanks for your help Gerry 👍

He went above and beyond, gave invaluable advise as to how to block any potential entry points. Within 3.5 hours he worked his magic and his traps caught the mouse. He'd asked me to contact him if anything was caught and as promised, true to his word came the next day to dispose of it. Gerry did not charge me anything for this follow-up visit. We continued to monitor the traps and after a week it was safe to say there was only just the one that got in! He left some monitoring bait just in case to keep our mind at ease and was willing to leave the traps for a further week if we wanted.
He is the best in the field and has a lot of patience and dedication. While I hope we do not need any further pest control assistance, I would definitely call on him again should we do so. I cannot recommend him highly enough – nothing short of excellent if there were more stars would add them!

Extremely prompt , dealt with problem on the same day I contacted them
